Puerto Rican singer EIX is bringing in more Boricua backup for “Estaré” remix. Alongside featured artist Darkiel, they turn up the heat with Lyanno in the new music video.
Rising star EIX is turning the hits from his debut album Yo Soy EIX into smashes with the remix treatment. He received a co-sign from reggaetón pioneers Angel y Khriz on the “Como Olvidar” remix. EIX later teamed up with his contemporaries Rauw Alejandro, Brytiago, KEVVO, Jay Wheeler, and Noriel on the “Infiel” remix. Now Lyanno is joining him and Darkiel on the “Estaré” remix.
“We added Lyanno to the track,” EIX tells Remezcla. “He is an extremely talented and great person. We believe he was the right person to take this song to the next level. His melodic and unique voice and style adds a new flavor to the song. Darkiel has been supportive of my career since the beginning and I’m thankful for that.”
Lyanno adds a sensual edge to the “Estaré” remix. His seductive croon perfectly rounds out EIX’s deeply rich voice and Darkiel’s raw flow. Their original collaboration graduates from love song to love-making song with this more grown version. EIX remains the heart of the simply irresistible remix. The game the trio spits on the song comes to life in the stylish music video.
As an up-and-coming Afro-Latinx singer, EIX looks up to a certain Panamanian hit-maker. “Sech is making big moves and he’s an Afro-descendant artist that I admire,” he says. “I love his music and what he is doing. It makes me happy to see more and more Afro-Latino artists making their voices heard.”
As for what’s next, EIX has a new EP La Apuesta lined-up for next month. “Music is my life,” he says. “I am living everything I dreamed of and continuing to aim for my ultimate goals as an artist.”
