The remix music video for Panamanian singer Sech‘s “Relación” is out of this world. The stars align with artists like Puerto Rican icon Daddy Yankee, Colombian reggaetonero J Balvin, Puerto Rican rapper Farruko, and Spanish singer Rosalía coming onboard.
“Relación” is Sech’s biggest global smash since breaking through with last year’s Billboard top 40 hit “Otro Trago.” A mural that’s in-process in Wynwood, Miami confirmed the much-rumored remix with Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Rosalía, and Farruko.
“The remix came to me suddenly as an idea that just popped into my head,” Sech said in a statement. “I heard several colleagues really liked the song.” The first one to jump on the track was J Balvin. “When Sech reached out to me […] I immediately began brainstorming and writing my lyrics,” Balvin added. “[This] will be a quarantine banger.”
With artists from different countries involved, Daddy Yankee called the remix “a great song where we unite cultures.” Farruko was happy to be part of Sech’s line-up. “I’m excited to contribute my art on a track as big as this one is,” he said.
Rosalía was the last person added to the “Relación” remix and she goes all out. Sech’s familiar voice opens the track and she echoes his words with extra heartache. On her surprising rap, she switches from emotional to fierce, evoking “La Rosalía” and calling herself “la matadora” in a few breaths. Daddy Yankee brings more of that fed-up energy. Balvin and Farruko add to the story of a woman living her best life as her toxic ex regrets his. Sech remains the center of gravity on the stellar remix.
In the video for the “Relación” remix, an astronaut couple navigates their relationship in outer space. Sech and his squad come along for the ride. The original version of “Relación” is from Sech’s 1 of 1 album. Check it out below.
