Tackling Future’s love of Gucci flip-flops and all things codeine, Trapzillas have dropped this fire remix to “Thought It Was a Drought.” The self-proclaimed King of Moombah, DJ Adolfo “Dolfz” Salazar uses many elements of the original instrumental, but with a kicked-up intensity ready for club dancefloors and raves. The insane drop that first appears at 1:02 will have even the most leaned out clubgoers jumping out of their seats.

With over five million SoundCloud streams, Trapzillas are making an impact on the EDM scene and touring nationwide off the strength of their remixes of everyone from Gorillaz to Rick Ross, as well as original tracks, including a few with associates Riff Raff and Fredo Santana. While the music is festivalworthy, Trapzillas also clearly have a soft spot for the hood, incorporating and remixing hip-hop joints that garnered Dolfz a spot mixing live on SiriusXM stalwart channel Shade 45 for “Sway in the Morning.” With the popularity of both EDM and codeine rap at an all-time high, it seems this winning mixture of the two will keep Trapzillas busy for the foreseeable future.
