Wild Honey’s “Medalla de Plata” Video Is Like a Surreal Wes Anderson Film

Guillermo Farré‘s latest release as Wild Honey, 2015’s Medalla de Plata EP, found him singing and writing in Spanish for the very first time. We highlighted this fact when he shared the video for his song “Tu propia montaña Sainte-Victoire,” and now we’re excited to premiere the brand new music video for “Medalla de Plata,” directed by David Iñurrieta.

Here, we see Farré performing the folk-infused indie pop number in the woods alongside a red-haired actress. She curiously wanders around the natural scenery with child-like wonder. Her experience is filtered through dreamy and romantic colors and textures, and when a cortège of hooded figures appears, it all gets a little creepy. The video runs like a French New Wave-inspired short film, and features some symmetrical shots and hard crops that immediately bring Wes Anderson to mind.

Medalla de Plata is out now.
