These Latin American Teams Will Play Against Each Other at FIFA World Cup 2026

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has taken a major step forward with the draw. Taking place at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center, it revealed the makeup of the 12 groups playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
We already knew the groups for the three host countries: Mexico would be Group A, Canada would be Group B, and the United States would be Group D. That means that Mexico is set to play the inaugural match for the FIFA 2026 World Cup. And after the draw we know it’ll be against South Africa.
For Latin American teams, the only teams playing against each other at this stage are Brazil and Haiti. And we will Paraguay in Group D, Ecuador in Group E, Uruguay in Group H, Argentina in Group J, Colombia in Group K, and Panama in Group L.

Dates and venues will be announced a day later, on December 6th.
Bolivia has not yet secured its ticket but will get a final chance in the inter-confederation play-offs if they win the match against Suriname on March 26, 2026 and then against Iraq on March 31, 2026. They would be in Group I.
