Nike is ushering in the 2026 World Cup with the launch of a special edition Air Force 1 sneaker and the Big Bubble Air Max 95 in honor of the Mexican National Fútbol team.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Mexico” sneaker draws inspiration from Mexico’s national colors and cultural passion for the game of fútbol. The sneaker maintains its traditional silhouette with distinctive details, such as an embroidered flame throughout the sneakers’ leather upper and exterior. The neutral base is overlayed by a green Nike swoosh that matches the Nike tag on the sneaker tongue and the interior.
Completing the National Mexican aesthetic is a burgundy colored sole, fully channeling the colors of the Mexican Flag.
The sneaker also includes a pink Nike Swoosh tag on the left heel, and a stylized tag that says “el 3o tiempo F.C.” which translates to, “third time,” a reference to what happens after the game, a drink with friends and hanging out, all part of the fútbol culture.
The insole also features an additional message for the sneaker wearer— “amor que no se apaga” which translates to “A love that never fades/dies.”
As for the Big Bubble Air Max 95 “Mexico” sneaker, it is white, green, and maroon. According to WWD, the white leather forms the bulk of the upper, with a dotted flame graphic running across the striped panel in green and red. Green is used for the toe cap and heel with maroon lace loops and an eggshell color shell.
The heel has a pink “Tiempo F.C.” logo with “Amor Que No Se Apaga” on the bottom of the shoe.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Mexico” sneaker does not have an official release date, but is rumored to be launched in the summer of 2026 at $125. As for the Big Bubble Air Max 95 “Mexico” sneaker, it doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet but pricing is expected to be set at $200.
