The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to begin in a little over a month, and Peacock will be the place to watch it in Spanish in the US. The streamer announced coverage plans for the World Cup, confirming they will stream every match live in Spanish, and are also set to have live and exclusive Spanish-language coverage, a dedicated World Cup hub, and a Copa Mundial 24/7 virtual channel in Spanish.

Peacock will be the only direct-to-consumer streaming service in the United States to simulstream live coverage of all 64 World Cup matches, including hour-long pre and post-match onsite coverage. The first 12 matches will be available to subscribers on the free tier, with the remaining 52, beginning on November 24, available to Peacock Premium subscribers.

The World Cup is set to kick off Sunday, November 20th, with Ecuador facing host Qatar at 11ET. Argentina and Mexico will play their first games on November 22nd, Costa Rica on November 23rd, and Brazil and Uruguay will make their debuts on November 24th.

Peacock’s World Cup Hub is set to have not just the games, but daily highlights and analysis as well as on-demand full-match replays and documentaries centered around football legends from our communities, like Lionel Messi, Pele, and Diego Maradona, as well as historical looks at winners of previous World Cups.

“The World Cup is the biggest sporting event for Latinos and a truly communal experience that transcends languages and culture. We look forward to showcasing the best-in-class sports on Peacock,” said Romina Rosado, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Hispanic Streaming, at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
