Seems like these brasileiras no se rinden. After running laps around the world, Cansei de Ser Sexy (CSS) is coming back to the America…again. It seems these electro-rockers barely give us a chance to process one show before moving on to the next (17 times in North America just this year). Honestamente, it’s like we don’t have time to miss them enough.

Pero bueno, I guess we should be glad that the "overly eccentric" ladies and gentleman of CSS will be visiting us once again, even though their show has taken a tamer side (see what critics have said). Pitchfork’s review of their latest work, Donkey, pointed out: "…Donkey was built from the idea that its songs would be much easier to recreate live. As a result, most of CSS’ nuance, sense of irony, and genre schizophrenia have been excised in favor of, well, the exact sort of bland dance-punk they so skillfully avoided on their first album."

Peep their North American tour dates after the jump...

After canceling a summer tour claiming "exhaustion," Spanish one-man band El Guincho (Pablo Díaz-Reixa) has decided to finally dar el salto from Barcelona to the US for a fall tour.

Let’s not forget the fact that he finally released his album Alegranza! world-wide via Young Turks/XL Recordings so this probably has something to do with him finally rescheduling. But hey, we’re not ones to criticize, if he wants to bring his brand of Afrobeat, dub, tropicália, bass (and any other style you want to add) mix to this side of the Atlantic, pues esta bienvenido a hacerlo.

He’ll be hitting U.S. and Canadian cities by the end of November, ending in New York in early December.

Recently, we went out on a weekend bender with Puerto Rican garage-punk band, Davila 666, a relatively new band that has been capturing the attention of the underground (and not so underground) music scene in the island, and now the U.S. Comprised of Sir Charles Davila on Vox, AJ Davila on bass, Johnny Otis Davila

For a novice festival in which many things haven’t been stellar (confusing name, cancellation of acts such as Robyn and Juana Molina , steep prices) it was no surprise that things wouldn’t go so smooth for us either. It was Friday, and my friend Eddie and I were on our way to the first day
