A critical part of those responsibilities for Namor — the antihero played by Tenoch Huerta in Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — is protecting his people and their subaquatic land known as Talocan.

Remezcla's favorite cumbia villeros Damas Gratis are finally making it up to the US from Argentina for shows in Miami and New York. There had been rumors of them coming in the summer, then in September, but those hopes were quickly squelched, and we had to satisfy our villera cravings with ZZK mixtapes and YouTube videos. But this time it's for real, and it's all going down November 8th at Kukaramakara with Bachaco opening up ...we have keytar-wielding, jheri curl-sporting DG frontman Pablo Lescano's word...

Special Sneak Screening of The Maid

We’re proud to be co-presenting a special private screening of Chilean film The Maid (original title: La Nana), part of the Cinema Tropical Premiere Series.

The special screening will be taking place on Tuesday, October 6th, at 7:30pm at The Angelika Film Center and director Sebastian Silva will be present for a Q&A session. To attend, you must RSVP at rsvp@cinematropical.com .

Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Maid will be playing for the general public also at The Angelika October 16-29. Chilean Sebastián Silva’s second film, The Maid took home both the Grand and Special Jury prices at the Sundance Film Festival this year.
