One could say that long-time Remezcla friends and currently buzzed-about Brooklyn twosome Buscabulla — Puerto Ricans Raquel Berríos and Luis Alfredo del Valle — are making the Caribbean music of the future. Their Dev Hynes-produced, eponymous EP fast-tracked them to end-of-year best-of lists everywhere (ours included) and we can’t get enough of their sultry electropsych sound.

We caught up with Raquel ahead of the duo’s appearance at this weekend’s NRMAL festival in D.F., to hear more about Buscabulla’s aesthetic vision and being an example for young women.
