Shakira turned The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon into a full-on party. On Friday (Mar. 10), the Colombian superstar performed “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53” live for the first time with Bizarrap.

Shakira and Bizarrap were special guests on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show. They talked with Fallon about how their global hit came together, and Shakira shared that her 10-year-old son Milan encouraged her to collaborate with Bizarrap. She also talked about how the song helped her process her separation from her ex Gerard Piqué.

“The thing with this song is it has become an anthem for so many women out there,” Shakira said. “I’ve had a very rough year after my separation, and writing this song has been so important to me. It’s been a healthy way to channel my emotions. I have a sisterhood of women who have been through the same things that I have been through, who think the way I think, who feel the way I feel, who had to put up with so much crap the way I had to.”

Shakira later performed “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53” with the Argentine producer. Bizarrap recreated his home studio from the music video on the stage. As Shakira sang the song, the crowd sang it loudly with her. Shakira then stepped out into the audience, and her fans went wild. Shakira and Bizarrap put on a performance that felt like a larger-than-life concert.

During her Las Vegas residency this past weekend, Adele talked about Shakira’s performance. After a fan brought up Shakira’s name, Adele joked about Piqué having a storm coming his way. “I saw her performance last night on ‘Jimmy Fallon,’” she said. “Oh, her ex-husband’s in trouble!”

Based on the success of “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” Shakira Bizarrap received four Guinness World Records. The song claimed the title for the most-viewed Latine track on YouTube in 24 hours, the most-streamed Latine track on Spotify in 24 hours, and the fastest Latine track to reach 100 million views on YouTube. Shakira received 10 more Guinness World Records on her own.
