One of the most iconic norteño albums will soon be released on vinyl for the first time in 30 years. Today (Sept. 18), Craft Latino announced that Chalino Sánchez’s album Alma Enamorada will be pressed on wax in November.

Alma Enamorada isn’t the first Sánchez album Craft Latino has released on vinyl. Last month, the label released his Nieves De Enero album on vinyl. The LP included the corrido king’s hits “Florita Del Alma,” “El Crimen De Culiacán,” and “Hermanos Mata.” Now, another one of Sánchez’s emblematic albums will be released on vinyl.

The Alma Enamorada LP, originally released in 1992, includes some of Sánchez’s most beloved corridos and norteño songs like “Los Chismes” and “Armando Aguirre.” His most well-known song is also on there, “Alma Enamorada.” The dark love song became infamous because Sánchez was singing it at a club in Culiacán, Sinaloa, when he received what appeared to be a note with a death threat. The following morning, he was found shot to death in a murder that remains unsolved.

Craft Latino will release Alma Enamorada on vinyl on Nov. 15. The original artwork will be replicated on the jacket of the vinyl. There will also be a picture disc available of Alma Enamorada that will be limited to 400 copies. A bundle of the vinyl will also be available, with a collectible Chalino Sánchez T-shirt. All vinyl variants are now available for pre-order on the Discos Musart website

Back in April, Sánchez was one of the música mexicana legends that Peso Pluma paid tribute to during his performances at Coachella. Earlier this year, Deadline reported that a biopic about Sánchez got the green light. Mexican-American actor David Castañeda was reportedly cast to play him in the movie.
