Viral sensation Macario Martínez has finally released the music video for his breakthrough hit. This afternoon (Apr. 25), the rising Mexican star dropped the stunning video for “sueña lindo, corazón.”
Back in January, Macario Martínez captured the heart of the Latine Internet with a video on TikTok. In the caption, the Mexico City-based artist wrote, “Life asks for a lot and I’m just a street sweeper who wants you to listen to his music.” The video of Martínez singing “sueña lindo, corazón” in the back of a city vehicle went viral. He has since exploded in popularity thanks to the love for his heartfelt song, which has over 20 million streams on Spotify. Last month, Eslabon Armado tapped Martínez to feature on their song “Esa Noche” from their Vibras De Noche II album.
Now, Martínez is bringing the focus back to the song that put him on the map. He released the long-awaited music video for “sueña lindo, corazón.” The dreamy video shows Martínez performing the song with his guitar in different parts of Veracruz, Mexico. He has gone from singing in the back of a city vehicle in his TikTok video to performing in the middle of the ocean. The video captures the magic of Martínez’s artistry as a songwriter and performer with no limits to where his music can go.
Earlier this month, the crooner released his latest single “Si Te Mentí.” The song was inspired by the Max series The Last of Us, which stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. He also recently fired his personal manager Luis Avilés, who was the communications coordinator for the Axe Ceremonia festival in Mexico City. Martínez decided to cut ties with Avilés after two photojournalists died at the event when a scissor lift was blown over and fell on them.
