WATCH: Remezcla Studios Captures Ligas Mayores Making Music in Short Film

Remezcla Studios is making magic happen. With the unique and innovative initiative, Remezcla brought together different musicians from the Ligas Mayores label to create a collaborative EP. We’re also premiering an exclusive short film capturing the process today (May 8), including Adrian Chaparro, Fiino, Martin Marquez, and Archivo Secreto’s new single “Dulcecitos.”
During Latin Grammys week in Las Vegas last year, Remezcla Studios launched to bring Latine artists from diverse genres together and help them connect. The initiative also facilitated special collaborations among the artists, who wrote, recorded, and produced in a pop-up recording studio. One of those collaboration sessions led to an upcoming EP by Ligas Mayores’ música mexicana stars Adrian Chaparro, Fiino, Martin Marquez, and Archivo Secreto.
“At Ligas Mayores, we see projects like this as a natural extension of how we develop our artists,” Alina Escarcega, general manager of Ligas Mayores Records & Publishing, tells Remezcla. “We focus on shaping sonorities within Regional Mexican music that respect its roots while exploring new sounds, narratives, and identities. Our community is constantly growing and evolving, and the music has to evolve with it. Initiatives like this give our artists space to collaborate, experiment, and step outside their comfort zone. That exposure pushes them to evolve both sonically and in how they see themselves within a broader cultural conversation.”
The short film captures the complete creative process behind the EP by Chaparro, Fiino, Marquez, and Archivo Secreto. The collective’s co-writers, Javier Gaystardo and Emir Cazarez, along with producer Martin Marquez, are also highlighted in the pop-up recording studio. We see the group of musicians experimenting with and evolving the música mexicana sound, especially in the new single “Dulcecitos.” Their song will soon be released to all music streaming platforms and the EP later this year.
