Ceremonia’s New Guava Perfume Mist Is Like Summer In a Bottle

Latina-owned hair care brand Ceremonia has found a way to encapsulate the tropical scents of summer into a pink glass bottle. Today (April 1), the brand launched Perfume Mist de Guava, a hair and body mist with notes of guava, lemon zest, and peach. Combined, these scents evoke the feeling of enjoying fresh fruits right off the tree on a warm, sunny day. Shimmery golden flecks in the mist also add a subtle and buildable glow on your body and tresses.
The alcohol-free formula makes this perfume mist safe and nourishing for hair and skin and it’s boosted with an agave extract plus Ceremonia’s proprietary hair shield technology to add hydration and protection against environmental pollution.
Babba C. Rivera, Ceremonia’s Swedish Latina founder, says her new fragrance reminds her of visiting her family’s homeland as a kid.
“I remember when I was probably 8 and I was in Chile for the first time. It was also my first time seeing fruits out in the wild that I would normally see in [Sweden’s] exotic food aisle at the grocery store. I remember seeing an avocado tree and a guava tree, and my aunt had a peach tree, and picking those fruits with my hands, my mind was blown,” Rivera tells Remezcla. “I grew up in Sweden where the weather is not conducive to these tropical fruits. It made me realize what a city kid I had been. Guava brings me back to my home country and makes me appreciate the magic that nature creates.”
Perfume Mist de Guava marks the brand’s second scent, with the first one being the award-winning Perfume de la Tierra. Launched in October 2020, Ceremonia products use formulas with natural ingredients sourced from Latin America. Its products are free of silicones, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and artificial colorants. Ceremonia’s guava collection, which features a leave-in conditioner, heat protectant spray, shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioning mask, and texturizing salt spray, is the brand’s best selling line.
