The beloved Broadway musical Hamilton is raising funds for various nonprofit organizations during next month’s 10th anniversary special show.

Hamilton was created and written by Nuyorican multi-hyphenate Lin-Manuel Miranda. The musical is currently on tour in North America. And the 10th anniversary show will take place on August 6 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City.

The musical is also known for its pro-immigrant stance in the song “Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down).” It includes the famous lyric: “Immigrants, we get the job done.” And while undocumented and immigrant communities are under attack from ICE raids under President Donald Trump’s administration, the musical is giving back with a fundraiser tied to the 10th anniversary show.

“One of America’s greatest exports — at least for me growing up — was the immigration narrative,” Miranda told the Associated Press. “So many people I know came to this country from somewhere else seeking a better life and then helped make this country better by being here. And I believe that’s one of the greatest promises, one of greatest things about the American experiment, and I’ll continue to fight for that and support organizations that are helping that cause.”

The 10th anniversary show of Hamilton is expected to raise over $3 million for the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition, which includes benefits 14 nonprofit organizations like the Hispanic Federation and National Immigration Law Center. The donations are coming from Miranda, his family’s fund, and the cast.

The invitation-only performance is also raising funds from VIP packages through the Hispanic Federation that range from $2,500 to $10,000.

The Yankees are also celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hamilton on Monday, August 25. The first 10,000 attendees will receive a co-branded Yankees x Hamilton cap with proceeds from the tickets going towards the nonprofit Beyond the Stage Door.
