After Jorge Ramos left his longtime job at Univision, the legendary Mexican journalist is returning to news. This morning (September 15), Ramos announced he is launching a new podcast with his daughter Paola Ramos.

Most Latino folks have memories of growing up with Jorge Ramos as a co-anchor of Noticiero Univision. In September of last year, he shocked his fans by announcing his departure from Univision after 40 years of working for the network. Ramos signed off from Noticiero Univision in December. Now he’s making a comeback in a podcast with his daughter Paola Ramos, who is also a journalist and MSNBC contributor.

“Not only am I going back to the news, but this is an incredible opportunity to work for the first time in English and with my daughter Paola,” the elder Ramos shared in a statement. “Few people know that we talk almost every single day over the phone about the news of the day. And now iHeartMedia’s My Cultura and Radio Ambulante Studios are helping to make our intergenerational conversations public, and I’ll always be grateful. With this podcast, we want to be the space where people go whenever they have something important to say about the Latino community.”

The two journalists are teaming up with My Cultura, iHeartMedia’s podcast network dedicated to elevating Latino voices, to launch the podcast “The Moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos.” The father and daughter duo will interview politicians, artists, activists, and journalists to talk about the issues of today with a Latino point-of-view.

Their first guests will include Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, actor and activist John Leguizamo, the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union Anthony Romero, Chilean-American author Isabel Allende, and more.

The Ramos’ podcast will premiere on September 17 on the iHeartRadio app. News episodes will be released weekly and will be available to stream everywhere podcasts are heard.
