This past Saturday (August 20), fans of Christian Nodal had to do a double take when the singer posted a video on social media of himself without any of his face tattoos.
While it’s likely that the video was one that he pulled from the archives (although it wasn’t “Throwback Thursday”), some people online wondered if maybe Nodal removed all the ink from his face to get him back to his original baby-faced look.
“You are very handsome without tattoos,” one Twitter user commented.
In his most recent Instagram photo posted three weeks ago, Nodal is seen lying down shirtless on a blanket in the grass. All his face tattoos are visible. Also visible is the chest tattoo he got to cover up the one he had prior that featured the eyes of his ex-fiancée Belinda.
“I had some eyes here, I covered them with wings,” Nodal said in a past interview with the Mexican morning show Venga la Alegría. “I made a complete chest design…of pleasure.”
It’s only been recently that Nodal started covering his face with tattoos, so some fans wondered if they were only temporary. The one face tattoo he got in the past was the one near his ear that featured a shortened version of Belinda’s name, but he had it covered up with other symbols after their breakup.
Face tattoos or not, Nodal is gearing up for his next tour, a 22-city adventure, which begins on September 15, 2022, in San Jose, California, and ends on November 13, 2022, in Fort Myers, Florida.
