Mora is back with new music. On Aug. 28, the Puerto Rican artist released his newest album ESTRELLA, featuring collaborations with artists like Yandel, Arcángel, RaiNao, and more. THE LP also features popular producers like Ovy on the Drums, MAG, and Sky Rompiendo.

“I would define [the album] as a collection of everything I consider that I contribute musically,” the Puerto Rican artist told Remezcla about the new album. “It’s literally me in different ways, a little bit of Primer Dia de Clases, a little bit of PARAÍSO, a little bit of MICRODOSIS, and at the same time incorporating other new sounds.”

The album spans different BPMs, showing his diverse taste in the reggaeton, trap, and electronic spectrum. During the interview, he mentions that other than RaiNao’s collaborations – “PIDE” and “UN DESEO” – the rest of the tracks aren’t in a specific order. He emphasizes that the album has a little bit of everything: songs about heartbreak and love, and also includes both calm and partying songs.

As far as the collaborations go, he singles out Arcángel’s fast-paced collaboration, “LAGUNA,” which they recorded in Madrid, Spain. He mentions that the song was written a few weeks prior to meeting up with the Dominican-American icon. “It just flowed, he liked the song, and we started writing,” he recalls.

Another collaboration he mentions is the perreo-ready “PÓLVORA” with Yandel. This track was added to the album at the last minute, leaving Mora impressed by Yandel’s quick and organized work ethic. When Yandel asked if he would add it to his new album, Mora said yes but mentioned he had to work on it ASAP. Yandel then sent him everything in an organized matter, leaving Mora dazzled. “To see a person like Yandel being so diligent – so fast – obviously, you know why he’s here,” he shares.

Overall, all tracks were made on the go, in between tour stops. Talking about tour dates, Mora will continue his ESTELA TOUR 2023 in Mexico, Central America, South America, and the U.S. throughout the rest of 2023.
