Bad Bunny isn’t done with Saturday Night Live yet. Following his “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí” historic residency, the Puerto Rican icon will be hosting the show’s 51st season opener, with Doja Cat as the musical guest. The new Saturday Night Live season will kick off on October 4 at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Benito has been on SNL a handful of times throughout his career.

He was the host and musical guest during Season 49 on October 21st in 2023. He was also part of the 50th anniversary celebration’s “Homecoming Concert” in New York City where he performed “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “DtMF,” and also joined the series’ comic fun by performing “I Just Had Sex” with T-Pain, Lady Gaga, and Andy Samberg.

Not only that, but he also joined Marcello Hernández’s Domingo character as his “hot brother” during the series’ 50th anniversary special. And how can we forget the time “Mamá & Tía” sketch featuring Pedro Pascal as Hernández’s mother and Bad Bunny as Hernández’s aunt? Iconic.

With all those SNL moments in mind, we already know that the Boricua entertainer will make us LOL, especially after practicing his comic timing with comedian greats like Adam Sandler. Last summer, Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2 showed many social media users just how hilarious Benito could be when given the opportunity to. And with Hernández (who came out on the aforementioned film as his cousin) in the same room, we can already envision hilarious moments from the two Latinos.

Saturday Night Live’s Season 51 opener will air on NBC. Other upcoming guests include Amy Poehler and Role Model on October 11, and Sabrina Carpenter, who will serve as both host and musical guest on October 18.
