Becky G’s new documentary is heading to theaters. This morning (October 30), the Mexican-American pop star revealed the release date for Rebbeca.

Back in April, Becky G revealed that she worked on a documentary about her own personal story. Rebbeca, which is Becky G’s real first name, was directed by Jennifer Tiexiera and Gabriela Cavanagh. The documentary focused on the process the singer went through to make her first música mexicana album, 2023’s Esquinas.

“This film isn’t about perfection,” Becky G shared in a statement. “It’s about becoming. Rebbeca was filmed in a moment of personal transition, when the questions were still louder than the answers. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s healing.”

Rebbeca first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. Now the documentary will be released nationwide this winter. Becky G partnered with Live Nation Studios and Trafalgar Releasing for the film’s theatrical release. Rebbeca will be available to watch in theaters for two nights only: December 10 and 13.

“Live Nation Studios is eager to partner with Trafalgar to bring Rebbeca to cinemas worldwide,” Ryan Kroft, Head of Film & Television at Live Nation Studios, added. “Becky G’s powerful story, captured beautifully in this film, is so timely and resonates deeply with the universal themes of identity and healing.”

Tickets for Rebbeca will go on sale on November 6. Becky G’s fans can now sign-up at the documentary’s official website for more information on how to get tickets. Last year, she released a second música mexicana album called Esquemas.
