The world is excited for Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl half-time show, including Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. During a recent interview with Remezcla, the stars of The Rip talked about the Puerto Rican superstar and the New England Patriots’ chances of making it to the big game.

Affleck, who has made a splash in the Latine community for his fluency in Spanish, was asked about any Latin music act that he’s captivated by. He quickly responded, “Like anybody else, I like Bad Bunny. I don’t think that’s going to surprise anybody.” Next month, Bad Bunny is set to make history as the first Latino act to headline to the Super Bowl halftime show. Right now, Affleck and Damon’s home team, the Patriots, are currently competing for a spot at the Super Bowl.

Both Affleck and Damon got real about the Patriots’ Super Bowl chances. Damon said, “Well Bad Bunny will definitely be there. The Patriots, maybe not, but we’ll see. It would be great if the Patriots were there and Bad Bunny.” Affleck added, “We’re hoping that the Patriots and Bad Bunny play the Super Bowl.”

From there, Bad Bunny’s halftime show returned to the focus of the conversation. “Either way, we’ll watch Bad Bunny,” Damon chimed in. Affleck followed that up with, “Bad Bunny is a great choice and we’re looking forward to it. He’s a brilliant artist. I can say this because he’s the most popular artist in the world.”

The Rip started streaming on Netflix on January 16. Super Bowl LX will take place at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026.
