It’s been eight months since Jane the Virgin delivered its jaw-dropping season finale that we’re still coming up with theories about. The show is set to enter its final season, and after a delayed start we finally know just when fans will be able to kick back with Jane Gloriana Villanueva.

Ay, dios mío! The final season premieres Wednesday, March 27 on The CW!

A post to the official Jane the Virgin Facebook page revealed the final season arrives March 27th, making it the perfect way to start off the spring. There’s been no word as to what fans can expect once the show returns. We do know star Gina Rodriguez has been told how the season will end and that the CW is already developing an anthology spin-off series that will be based around Jane’s fictional novels. The anthology is still heavily in development with nothing more than a pilot order right now, though it is being reported that Rodriguez would return as the narrator.

It’s bittersweet to know that Jane the Virgin is coming to an end. The series has done a lot towards de-stigmatizing sexuality and examining the role of religion within the virginity narrative. Rodriguez, herself, will be transitioning rather seamlessly into the next phase of her career. She’s doing press right now for her starring role in the Catherine Hardwicke-directed action film, Miss Bala and is the voice for Netflix’s soon-to-be franchise, Carmen Sandiego.

The final season of Jane the Virgin debuts on the CW starting March 27th
