Oscar Isaac remains the Internet’s boyfriend and with another mega-installment of the Star Wars franchise upon us in a few weeks, that means social media is talking about him a lot. Or, more specifically, about his butt a lot. In fact, Oscar Isaac himself talks about that same subject, whether it’s in regards to working with his Star Wars co-star John Boyega or trying to fit his “ethnic hips” in the seat of the Millennium Falcon. Everyone has an opinion on his Cuban-Guatemalan derrière.
So it’s a shock to realize that there’s been a site putting in the work to spotlight Oscar Isaac’s backside for the last three years. Appropriately titled Oscar Isaac’s Butt, this Tumblr blog openly admits to being the one-stop shop for all things related to the subject. The site boasts photos and gifs all focused on highlighting one of Isaac’s best assets (yes, pun intended). There isn’t much known about the person or persons who started the Tumblr, but suffice it to say they’re doing us all a public service and should be commended for their fine work.
But for all the appreciation it provides, it looks like the site hasn’t operated in several years, being last updated in June of 2016. The question now becomes, where does the Tumblr go from here? Now that we know of its existence it can’t just end. Hopefully, someone resurrects it in time for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and can give us more of what everyone talks about. Maybe then it will quench the thirst of all those, including Isaac himself, bemoaning the lack of a Finn-Poe love story in the movies.
