We can’t promise that he’ll bring his X-wing fighter, but actor Oscar Isaac is making his way to the 2022 New York Comic Con (NYCC).

It was revealed Wednesday (August 10) that Isaac will be a headlining guest at this year’s event, which takes place from October 6-9.

In the Star Wars franchise, Isaac plays Poe Dameron, a Resistance starfighter who is featured in 2015’s Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and 2017’s Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. He’s starred in several other movies during the last two decades, including A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina and Dune. Most recently, he played the title character in the Marvel series Moon Knight on Disney+.

During the comic con, Isaac will participate in a spotlight panel and sessions for photo ops and autographs. Tickets to meet Isaac go on sale Thursday (August 11) at 1 p.m. EST at the NYCC website. Another Latine actor who will be attending NYCC is Freddy Prinze Jr. (Star Wars Rebels).

Recently, Isaac discussed whether he’d be interested in returning to the Star Wars franchise in the future. “I’m open to anything,” he said during an interview on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show.

For Oscar Isaac, it all comes down to timing which, he said, “becomes much more challenging” when you try to balance your professional life and your family life.

“With kids…it’s like where do these things fit in,” he said. “You start realizing that there’s not enough time for all of it. But if there was a great story and a great director and [Kathleen Kennedy] came to me and was like, ‘Hey, we’ve got this idea,’ I’m so so open to it.”
