Fall is here, and with it comes new movies and TV shows to keep and eye on. From big blockbusters like Gladiator II and Kraven the Hunter to early Oscar contenders like Emilia Pérez, without forgetting new TV shows like NCIS: Origins who are looking to earn a spot in our permanent rotation and old favorites like What We Do in the Shadows who are ready to bid us farewell.
Here are the movies and TV shows featuring Latine actors you should keep an eye on for Fall 2024. And please note, we also included some honorable mentions of shows and movies with Latine talent behind the scenes, because it’s just as important to celebrate those not on screen!
October
House of Spoils (Prime Video release on October 3rd)
House of Spoils follows an ambitious chef (Ariana DeBose) who opens her first restaurant—a farm-to-table affair on a remote estate—where she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor, crushing self doubts… and the powerful spirit of the estate’s previous owner who threatens to sabotage her at every turn. House of Spoils is a tense, psychological and sensuous thriller that will leave hearts pounding and mouth watering.

La Máquina (Premieres October 9th on Hulu)
Follows an aging boxer whose crafty manager secures one last shot at a title. But if they want to make it to fight night, they must navigate a mysterious underworld force and the boxer’s own ailing mind.

NCIS: Origins (Premieres October 14th on CBS)
NCIS: ORIGINS follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Mark Harmon. In the series, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office, where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

Lopez vs. Lopez Season 3 (Premieres October 18th on NBC)
The laughs and family spats continue this season as Mayan and Quinten try to take control of their wedding plans. George continues to deal with his sobriety and the realities of getting older, neither of which he does gracefully. Rosie isn’t shy about voicing her opinions about the wedding and silently deals with the aftermath of her near marriage to Josué. Chance begins to rebel against his parents now that he’s a strong, independent 9 year-old. The whole Lopez familia is back and ready to live life to its fullest – loving, crying and everything in between.

Happy’s Place (Premieres October 18th on NBC)
Bobbie (Reba McEntire) inherits her father’s tavern (Happy’s Place) and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), a twentysomething half-sister that she never knew she had.

What We Do In the Shadows Season 6 (Premieres October 21st on FX)
What We Do in the Shadows documents the nightly exploits of vampire roommates Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) as they navigate the modern world of Staten Island with the help of their former familiar and current human friend, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) as well as their vampire bureaucrat acquaintance, The Guide (Kristen Schaal).

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 (Netflix release on November 15)
