Pitbull knows the Internet is talking about him. The Cuban-American rapper joined the conversation following Bridgerton’s viral response to the new orchestral version of his hit “Give Me Everything” featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer – here’s what he had to say.

“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless,” he wrote on his social media. Thank you @bridgertonnetflix and @netflix for the opportunity, Dale! @neyo @afrojack.”

Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton is known for its unique soundtracks that feature pop tracks to reimagined orchestral pieces. From Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” to Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next,” the series has featured pop stars in an innovative way. Though it isn’t reggaeton, we finally know how a Latine pop track would sound in the Bridgerton world thanks to Pitbull’s Give Me Everything (2011). The popular collaboration is getting a new wave due to its feature during an epic moment between the show’s characters Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

The track has become a viral TikTok audio, with many people sharing their reactions to the scene or some even saying they’re adding it to their wedding playlist.

Social media users took the opportunity to share their love for the song in the comments. A fan, @Anabananerz, replied: “Never thought a Pitbull song would be on Bridgerton and now I’m here for it!!! 🙌🏼 Will be on my top list of Spotify wrapped 🤣.” Another social media user, @rebeca__muahouston, commented: “I just seen this episode last night. I’m hooked !! I love how the show implements modern day songs into classical music. 🔥.”

Fans aren’t the only ones replying to Mr. Worldwide. Even Bridgerton’s official social media account joined the chat: “This author would most certainly agree with Lord Worldwide… Music speaks when words cannot.”

The inclusion of this track was exclusively revealed to Remezcla last week (May 13). “That cover is so great because I feel like it’s a little bit outside of the sound of the covers we normally hear,” music supervisor Justin Kamps said about the now-viral instrumental cover. The song is amazingit has this great build to it and it’s going to be really fun to see the fan reactions.”

Bridgerton’s Part 1 is currently available to stream via Netflix. Part 2 will be available on June 13.
