Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse threw Miles Morales back into the stylized multiverse of Spider-themed superheroes for an epic story with a relatable message. Following a recent IMAX rerelease, the hard work of the cast and crew has been recognized again with a Best Animated Feature nomination at the 2024 Oscars.

Across the Spider-Verse will face off against Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and the Heron, Disney/Pixar’s Elemental, Netflix’s Nimona, and the international feature Robot Dreams.

Internet reactions have already voiced the praise for Across the Spider-Verse’s nomination.

However, some fans felt the movie was snubbed in categories like the score.

And for visual effects while we’re at it. Across the Spider-Verse didn’t receive a nomination for that either.

For others, it’s already assumed that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s win is secured.

The 2024 Academy Awards are on March 10, 2024 on ABC at 7 p.m. ET.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently available to watch on Netflix.
