Celebrities love to use their name and money to start new business endeavors. We’ve seen stars get involved in everything from tequila to fashion lines. Bad Bunny is now getting involved in a new business by opening a restaurant in Miami with famed nightlife guru David Grutman. The restaurant, a Japanese steakhouse called Gekkō, is giving Bad Bunny a chance to bring some of his favorite things from touring to Miami.

“My career constantly brings me out on the road. When I’m traveling, the days are full. Touring, meetings, interviews, filming. What I look forward to most, when all of this is done, is going out to eat at a nice restaurant,” Bad Bunny told Page Six. “For me, it’s rewarding. I am passionate about food and David is a perfect partner.”

Designed by The Rockwell Group, Gekkō is going to be part of Grutman’s Groot Hospitality. The restaurant will offer prime cuts and preparation of Wagyu beef. Additionally, diners will be able to experience sushi and an Omakase bar.

The restaurant will seat 185 guests and will be in Miami’s high-end Brickell neighborhood in the South Miami Avenue corridor. Gekkō, which means moonlight in Japanese, is set to open toward the end of July.

“I think I’ve reached a point in my career where I can venture off into new projects,” Bad Bunny told Highsnobiety. “I have a passion for food, and I’m going to take my time. The thing I look forward to the most, after a day of meetings, interviews, filming, touring, or all of the above, is going out to eat.”
