Who wouldn’t love sharing a few breakfast tacos with Academy Award-nominated actress Salma Hayek (Frida)? On Wednesday (Dec. 9), the Mexican-American star posted a video of herself on Instagram preparing and eating a savory-looking breakfast taco. She called it her “breakfast taco recipe” or “mi receta de taco de desayuno.”

“So, this is my breakfast taco,” Hayek tells viewers at the start of the video. “You take an egg. You put it on a tortilla. Then some mushrooms.”

Hayek tells her audience that the mushrooms include some cayenne pepper, tomato, garlic and cilantro. She then tops off the mushrooms with some arugula and salsa verde before folding her taco together and taking a big, messy bite.

Hayek lets viewers know she’s enjoying the taco with a few “mmms” as the salsita drips onto the plate. We’re not sure if we’re supposed to be enjoying watching someone eat a breakfast taco so much, but if the Food Network would like to give Hayek her own cooking show, we don’t think anyone would object.

Hayek has had some experience with tacos in the past. In 2016, she lent her voice to the R-rated, animated film Sausage Party, where she played a character named Teresa del Taco, a Mexican lesbian taco who has a crush on a hot dog bun.

That same year, she told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on his show that the first thing she does when she travels is to make sure she knows where to find the things she needs to make a good Mexican dish.

“It’s the first research I do when I come to another country,” she says. “Where do I get my tortillas?!”
