Aperol Is Just the Beginning—Here Are More Spritzes to Try
August 1st kicks off a new month, but it’s also time to celebrate National Spritz Day. We know it’s everyone’s go-to refreshing cocktail during those warm summer days, and while the classic Aperol Spritz is a beloved favorite, there are plenty of other spritzes to enjoy and serve at your BBQs, picnics, or summer parties.
This list includes a mix of ready-to-serve options and fun recipes to try at home. Traditionally, a spritz is a Venetian wine-based cocktail made with Prosecco, a mixer, and a flavoring ingredient, whether that’s a bitter liqueur, an apéritif, an amaro, or even a syrup. But we also know traditions are meant to be broken, so if you want to switch things up with your favorite spirit or ingredients, go for it. As long as it’s bubbly and refreshing, you’re doing Spritz Day right.
Whether you’re enjoying JLo‘s Delola, making your own spritz with La Marca, or trying the St-Germain Hugo Spritz recipe that’s giving the Aperol Spritz a run for its money, we’ve got something to satisfy every taste bud and help make you the favorite bartender at any gathering. Just remember, even if you’re not sipping these drinks in Italy, you still have to be 21 and older to enjoy them in the U.S., so sip responsibly.
So pop that cork and enjoy the bubbles! And as always, don’t forget to let us know which of these spritzes was the biggest hit at your party—or which one has become your new favorite.
