It’s time for Cancer season! Often described as highly intuitive, caregivers, and loyal, we’re continuing our monthly listicle with Cancer, which approximately runs from June 21 to July 22. The Crab sign is part of the Water clique with Scorpio and Pisces. We’ve already covered our Pisces favs, now let’s continue with Cancer masterminds.

There are various famous Latine Cancers, including Colombian pop star Kali Uchis, who recently became a mother. Seeing her flourish in this new role, she embodies what many Cancers are known for: being nurturing caregivers. Moreover, in her musical career, she’s known to be honest and loyal with her fans, giving them updates about what she’s up to in the studio. As far as being highly intuitive, we’ve seen her hit that specific mark with out-of-the-box bops, such as last year’s unexpected “Igual Que Un Ángel,” which featured Peso Pluma singing disco pop for the first time. But there are more mainstream artists we’re celebrating this month. We’re also toasting Mexican pop star and Peso’s lovebird Kenia Os, whose birthday is July 15.

These are just two of our favorite Cancers. More artists blowing out candles this season include Mexican-American stars like cumbia artist Vanita Leo, rapper Snow Tha Product, and rising talent Selines, who are all loyal to their Mexican roots and are proud of their culture. We are also celebrating Brazilian pop star Luísa Sonza, Mexican pop star Danna, and Dominican-American bachata singer Romeo Santos, who are all highly intuitive and loyal in their own ways.

From Kali’s doo-wop-inspired song “All I Can Say” to Santos’ bachata anthem “Boomerang,” here are seven songs to celebrate our favorite Crab sign on their birthday month.

And for any Cancers reading this: Happy birthday!

Kali Uchis – “All I Can Say”

As mentioned before, Kali has recently shown us a different side of her: motherhood. The Colombian pop star is in her mother era, demonstrating her Zodiac sign’s knack for being a caregiver. In an interview with Dazed, she said: “You know, my sun and my moon signs are mostly Cancer – it’s really strong. We’re deeply intuitive and sentimental. I really like to take care of people, nurturing them. I’m very passionate about the things I do and like to see people I love grow.” With this in mind, we don’t doubt that she’ll be raising her baby with utmost care and loyalty.

Vanita Leo – “La Cumbia Wepa”

Born on June 26, Vanita Leo is also celebrating her birthday this season. The young San Antonio-born artist stays loyal to her Tex-Mex upbringing, always proud of her Mexican roots. “Loving your culture in a place that tried to erase it is resistance,” she wrote on a recent Instagram post. Speaking Spanglish, blasting Tejano at cookouts, dancing cumbia in your backyard, passing down recipes, and proudly rocking your last name.. all of that is part of a legacy that’s survived colonization, border shifts, racism, and assimilation. My bloodline has been on this land since it was Mexico.” With “La Cumbia Wepa,” she embodies her culture and continues pushing her cumbia style to the masses – demonstrating a Cancer’s passion for loyalty.

Romeo Santos – “Boomerang”

The “King of Bachata” was born on July 21, making him a Cancer. Known for his bachata, it’s clear that the Dominican-Puerto Rican-American artist is loyal to the genre that has made him popular since his days with Aventura. Now, he’s still continuing the genre’s legacy with his latest solo song “Boomerang,” which has garnered over 47 million views on YouTube. Though it’s unclear when he’s releasing new music, he has recently been featured in other pop stars’ albums like Karol G, Grupo Frontera, and Rauw Alejandro. But it looks like he’s busy working – at the beginning of the year, he uploaded a short video featuring a microphone in front of the beach. Is a new album on its way? We hope so!

Snow Tha Product – “Hopeful”

Like Kali, Snow The Product is also a natural caregiver. Not only does she take care of her son, but she’s also one to take care of her whole family. In a recent interview with Remezcla, she told us that she likes to help out her family, whether it’s by employing them or welcoming them into her home ranch. She even described herself as “a provider at heart,” staying true to one of the sign’s most well-known traits. Snow is also loyal to herself and her fan base – she routinely speaks out about what’s affecting her people by posting about her political views on her social media platforms and in her music.

Luísa Sonza, Emilia - “bunda 🍑”

Born on July 18, Sonza is another Cancer star we’re celebrating this season. After seeing her perform in Los Angeles earlier this month, we know that the Brazilian entertainer knows what her fan base wants. Being aware of it, Sonza demonstrates her sign’s ability to be highly intuitive. Picture this: With every dance move, live song interpretation, and heartfelt speech, the pop star kept her audience’s attention throughout her almost two-hour show. Looking forward, with her newest collaborations like “bunda 🍑” with Argentinean singer Emilia and “MiuMiu” with Mexican singer Sofía Reyes and Puerto Rican artist RaiNao, she’s bound to expand her public even more – and we’re here for it!

Danna, Santa Fe Klan – “Nada Es Para Siempre”

Born on June 23, Danna is a widely known pop star for a reason. With past hits like the 2020 track “Mala Fama,” she has demonstrated her sign’s high intuition in knowing what her audience likes. I mean, to date, it’s still one of her most popular songs, boasting over 300 million streams on Spotify alone. Fast forward to now, her latest collaboration with Santa Fe Klan called “Nada Es Para Siempre” continues her hit-dropping pattern. What other Cancer traits does she frequently embody? Her loyalty to her LGBTQ+ fans, whom she often celebrates. “I’m really grateful for the LGBTQ+ community that makes me feel like I’m a part of their family. Love is love. Love is not ordinary,” she told Remezcla in 2020.

Selines – “By Your Side”

Rising Mexican-American singer-songwriter Selines is another Cancer on our radar. Born on June 24, the young bilingual folk artist is paving her way to reach indie folkheads who like artists such as Kevin Kaarl (her major inspo). At just 20 years old, she’s already loyal to what she envisions to be her signature sound: the new wave of folk pop. Moreover, this love for folk music stems from her guitar-playing passion, which started when she was a child. In songs like “Sin Ti,” “By Your Side,” and “Esta Soledad,” she features her beloved guitar and soothing croons that we will hopefully be hearing more of soon.
