Move Over Coachella: Music Festivals in the U.S., Latin America & More to Attend in 2023

Coachella isn’t the only music festival serving Latine artists of all calibers this year. Though it’s one of the biggest annual music events to look forward to, it’s not the only place you can enjoy Latine and global artists playing their biggest hits. There are many other national and international music festivals to consider apart from hanging out in the hot, dusty desert this spring.
First and foremost, as everyone knows, Latine music is experiencing a peak right now. We’ve recently seen this with global superstars like Bad Bunny, who opened the gringo Grammys this year with a Spanish-language and became the first Latine artist to headline Coachella. With this level of mainstream exposure in mind, it’s becoming more common to see today’s U.S. festivals cater to a further inclusive audience. Could it be that U.S. festivals will take note of the Latin American ones that routinely feature global artists in their lineups? While it’s too soon to tell, we’ve already seen these shifts stem in major festivals like Jay-Z’s Made In America and the LA3C Festival.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For now, let’s take a closer look into alternative options that we know usually serve versatile lineups. From the Dominican Republic’s Isle of Light festival to Los Angeles’ Bésame Mucho Festival, here are all types of music festivals—globally known and emerging—that are worth looking into for your next music festival destination. And yes, also Coachella.
