Where are our Geminis at? Often described as witty, spontaneous, and unpredictable, we’re continuing our monthly listicle with Gemini, which approximately runs from May 21 to June 20. We’ve already celebrated Aquarius, ready to hear all about the second Air sign of the year?

There are many beloved Geminis in the Latine music industry. One of the most recognized is the Mexican star Peso Pluma, whom we featured last year alongside other artists like RaiNao, Majo Aguilar, El Dusty, Lismar, Jaivera Mena, and Combo Chimbita’s Carolina Oliveros. This year, we’re celebrating talented artists of the same stature, like Mexican pop icon Paulina Rubio, Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, and Mexican reggaetonera Sayuri of Sayuri & Sopholov. We are also raising our glasses to Dominican great Juan Luis Guerra, Mexican singer Joy of Jesse & Joy, Spanish singer Pablo Alborán, and Mexican-American crooner Ivan Cornejo.

Though the aforementioned artists lead different lives, they share similar traits based on their Air sign. Take Rubio’s musical trajectory as a prime example. Her sign’s spontaneity and unpredictability shine through her genre-bending musical repertoire, which has made and kept her one of our favorite Latine pop icons since the 1980s. Another music juggernaut who enjoys tapping into different genres is Reyez, who has sung from R&B to her latest World Cup anthem alongside Elyanna. What can we say? We love our ever-changing Geminis.

From Rubio’s latest pop track to Cornejo’s sentimental ballad, here are seven songs that commemorate these music hitmakers on their birthday month.

And for any Geminis reading this: Happy birthday!

Paulina Rubio – “Balada Pop”

Blowing out her candles on June 17, Rubio is one of the most popular Mexican popstars since her days in Timbiriche. Beyond her trek in the popular group, she remained a successful pop star with iconic hits like “Ni Una Sola Palabra,” “Yo No Soy Esa Mujer,” and “El Último Adiós,” among other songs. But that’s not the only reason she’s a household name for many Latines. She’s also a businesswoman, actress, and television personality, seen on shows like “La Voz.” What else do we love about this Gemini? Her showstopping fashion and on-stage charisma, making her a memorable one.

Juan Luis Guerra – “Amor Bonito”

Born on June 7, Guerra is ringing in a new year this season. Known for his hits like “Cuando Me Enamoro” with Enrique Iglesias, “Bendita Tu Luz,” and “Bachata En Fukuoka,” the Dominican singer-songwriter has transcended generations with his timeless songs that still play on the radio today. Throughout his fruitful career, he has collaborated with artists of all calibers, including Carlos Vives, Sting, Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, and Joy, showing off a Gemini’s knack for adaptability. Moreover, he has won over 30 Latin Grammy awards and three Grammy awards. How’s that for Gemini excellence?

Joy – “Empinar El Codo”

Did you know that Joy Huerta of Jesse & Joy is a Gemini? The Mexican singer-songwriter was born on June 20, 1986, just before the season ends. Known for her powerful, bright vocals, the singer is one of Mexico’s most popular pop acts since the early aughts. Some of her most recognized songs include “Dueles,” “¡Corre!” and “Espacio Sideral.” Beyond being part of this successful brother-sister duo, she has also written songs for Broadway. Last year, she collaborated as a co-composer and lyricist for Real Women Have Curves: The Musical, putting another achievement under her career’s milestones. We love to see a queer Latina thrive!

Sayuri – “Nenas Mafiosas”

Sayuri & Sopholov’s Sayuri is another Gemini who’s celebrating her birthday this season. With her witty verses and unpredictable fashion, Sayuri lives her best Gemini life. For those unfamiliar with this artist, Sayuri is part of the skyrocketing Mexican reggaeton duo that went viral with their breakout single “Secunena” last year. Since then, the duo has been releasing more catchy singles and touring in Mexico, putting a new face on the reggaeton mexa scene. Most recently, the bestie duo finally made their U.S. debut in New York, giving us hope for an upcoming tour and debut album. We are sure it’ll be worth the wait!

Pablo Alborán – “Algo De Mí”

Born on May 31, Alborán is another Gemini we’re toasting to this month. Known as one of Spain’s most beloved artists—specifically in the pop and flamenco genres—the Spanish singer and actor has made a name for himself. His popular songs include “Saturno,” “Solamente Tú,” and “Dónde Está el Amor,” which have helped him accumulate more than 13 million listeners on Spotify. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a range of artists such as Kidd Voodoo, Maria Becerra, CKay, Carin León, and Camilo, showing his Zodiac sign’s spontaneous side. Next year, he will be touring the U.S. with stops in Miami, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more.

Jessie Reyez – “Illuminate (FIFA World Cup 2026™)”

Reyez is an unpredictable Gemini when it comes to the music she makes. She has tapped into many genres like R&B, pop, and hip-hop, giving fans sonic spontaneity like a true Gemini. Her most recent collaboration is the catchy pop anthem “Illuminate” with Chilean-Palestinian singer Elyanna, which is the World Cup song we’ve been waiting for this year. Besides being a talented artist, she also runs her Jessie Reyez Foundation, where she gives back to local shelters and her community. This year, not only is she celebrating another year around the sun on June 12, but she’s also releasing her fourth album, A LITTLE VENGEANCE, on the same day.

Ivan Cornejo – “Mirada”

Cornejo will be turning 22 on June 5. The Mexican-American sierreño singer’s Gemini traits shine through his sharp intellect and passionate lyrics. His popular tracks to date include “HASTA LA MUERTE” with Eslabon Armado, “Baby Please,” and “Atención,” which have taken him to perform on big stages nationwide. Though he’s been MIA this year, Cornejo has left his mark in the music industry with his romantic ballads, which have garnered him a loyal fanbase who are itching for new music. Will he surprise us with new music this year? Maybe his Instagram’s black photo is a sign of a new era…
