There’s a possibility that Anahí will not return to RBD, and it’s not only because of the band’s recent legal situation. The Mexican pop star’s husband, Manuel Velasco, recently talked about her commitment to her family.

In May, RBD revealed that an audit found that there was money unaccounted for from the earnings from last year’s Soy Rebelde Tour. The band’s ex-manager Guillermo Rosas and his company T6H Entertainment have denied any wrongdoing in the alleged money fraud case. RBD also revealed that all future group activities are “on hold” until they reach a legal resolution.

Velasco, who was also the governor of Chiapas, recently opened up about Anahí’s future with RBD. In an interview with Ventaneando, he mentioned that their children could be a reason why she decides to focus on their family.

“Our children are: Emiliano is 4-years-old and Manuel is 7,” he said. “They already go to school, unlike the children of the other members, who are younger and who do not have to go to deal with the school year yet. The next day I returned home with the children [after the tour started] so they could go to school. Later, we saw that they could have private teachers, so they wouldn’t miss the school cycle. It’s more complicated in our case.”

In the same interview, Velasco clarified that he had nothing to do with the management of RBD’s comeback tour. “I have always been respectful of my wife’s professional decisions, and the only thing I did during the duration of the Soy Rebelde Tour was accompany her and support her along with my children on a strictly family level,” he added.

Anahí hasn’t responded to what her husband said about her future with RBD. However, she has said previously that she’s waiting for the band’s money situation to go through the proper legal channels to see the final verdict.
