Anuel AA and his manager Frabian Eli Carrion have recently parted ways professionally. On Friday (Sept. 30), the Puerto Rican superstar responded to a lawsuit filed by Carrion that claims a breach of contract.
Carrion has long guided Anuel AA’s career to superstardom. Carrion was also the CEO of Anuel AA’s Real Hasta la Muerte, LLC. After not being seen with Anuel AA for a few weeks, suspicions of their parting were confirmed with a lawsuit Carrion filed in Miami, FL, last month. In the lawsuit, Carrion claims that Anuel AA “unilaterally” terminated his management contract. Carrion claimed he was supposed to be Anuel AA’s manager until 2026, per the contract. He also said Anuel AA removed his access to company bank accounts.
Last week, Anuel AA finally responded to the lawsuit through a statement issued by Real Hasta La Muerte. He said he’s ready to go to court over the “unfounded” claims in Carrion’s lawsuit.
“I recently learned that after removing my former manager from all my bank accounts due to suspicious financial activity and after initiating a forensic audit of all financial transactions and activities, my former manager filed an unfounded legal action, manipulating reality against me,” Anuel AA’s letter said. “I hope to use the legal process that he started to avoid paying back all the money my auditors question, both labor and personal. My lawyers and my forensic audit team are working to illuminate the full scope of these financial discrepancies that we are now discovering.”
While that drama unfolds, Anuel AA is still releasing music without Carrion as a manager. Last week, he dropped the visualizer for his new single, “LA 2BLEA.” Earlier this year, Anuel AA previously teamed up with his wife Yailin la Más Viral for their collaboration “Si Tu Me Busca.”
