Dominican-American urbano vet Arcángel, born Austin Agustín Santos, is reportedly in a Florida clinic due to a pre-heart attack. The singer is recovering and out of the danger zone, according to a news page devoted to updates on the singer after suffering from early signs of a heart attack. In a brief post, the person who runs the account provided limited details to followers saying “our miracle finds himself well and out of danger at the moment, but we invite you to pray for his immediate recovery.”

In the last six months, the 33-year-old has attempted to wipe his slate clean and ramp up for a comeback following news of his arrest in Las Vegas mere hours ahead of the Latin Billboard Awards, for what police called a misdemeanor domestic battery. In disturbing details that followed, it appeared to be an alleged case of domestic violence against his then-girlfriend. News of the “Original” singer’s alleged attack outside of a club was quickly brushed under the carpet in a not atypical case of the music industry prioritizing profit over people.

The past five months have included link-ups and potential collab prep with top urbano artists, such as Sech, Residente, Bad Bunny (who he performed with in New York just two days following the misdemeanor arrest) and more. Looking ahead, he has a fifth studio album in the works with singles he’s recently started teasing as its precursor and a new label he seems committed to nurturing following his exit from Pina Records. The artist has yet to comment or confirm the news of his health issue and current state but, regardless of his past and impending future, will hopefully do so soon.
