Following the release of “EL CLúB,” Bad Bunny is ready to drop a new album — over a year since his last album release. On Dec. 26, the Puerto Rican icon announced DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, officially releasing on Jan. 5, 2025. The new album consists of 17 songs, including “PIToRRO DE COCO,” which he also dropped today.

After fans began to speculate from an Instagram post on Dec. 1, Benito started dropping more hints of a larger return all month. Not only has he been performing as a special guest at recent concerts with Feid, Rauw Alejandro, and Jowell y Randy, but he also dropped the song “EL CLúB” earlier in the month.

On Dec. 24, Apple Music uploaded an Instagram carousel featuring photos of Bad Bunny, his colleagues, and Puerto Rico with the caption: “Estamos listos @badbunnypr 👀.”

Yesterday (Dec. 25), he revealed a numbered list with the word “BOMBA” that had 17 spaces, the same tactic for his past albums, including Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana in 2023 and Un Verano Sin Ti in 2022. Now, we can confirm the 17 tracks will be featured on DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, which also seemingly correlates with the camera he’s been spotted with lately.

The album’s announcement, a teaser video posted on Instagram, features Jacobo Morales, one of the most influential film directors from Puerto Rico. Morales talks about his life and memories with his friend Concho. He talks about how he met many people and saw many countries during his lifetime, but none like Puerto Rico. He also says that he wishes he would’ve taken more photos to show his lived experiences, but that he wasn’t one to take photos – which he regrets now. “While one is alive, one should love as much as possible,” he advises his friend. The end of the visual reveals Benito’s new album’s name and release date.

With the announcement, Benito dropped a new song, “PIToRRO DE COCO,” produced by MAG, Tainy, La Paciencia, and gives credit to the late Puerto Rican icon Chuito El De Bayamon. The song narrates sentimental feelings such as nostalgia, specifically missing someone who shared the holiday season with you a year ago. Sonically, it explores Puerto Rican traditional elements, such as plena’s Afro-Puerto Rican guitar sounds, a strong bass, and rhythmic percussions.

To celebrate the announcement, Spotify also shared a video of him singing his new song and an additional video of him talking about the album-making process.

Seemingly, fans are thrilled about the new track. An X user wrote: “Pitorro de coco is the best song Bad Bunny has released in a long time we are sooo back.”

Puerto Rican icon Ivy Queen also commented on the album’s announcement visuals. She said: “If there is something unquestionable about @badbunnypr is his love for Puerto Rico! And the way he honors and exalts great personalities of our land. He shows absolute respect and support for the contribution of each one of them. To think of Don Jacobo Morales que duroooooo Benito. Can’t wait to hear what you will give.”

Besides these announcements, Benito was also featured in the new official trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, alongside Adam Sandler.
