Christina Aguilera recently shot a Christmas concert that will be heading to theaters in the U.S. This morning (Oct. 15), the pop icon revealed the release dates for her Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris special.
Christina Aguilera is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her holiday LP My Kind of Christmas, released in 2000. The album included her covers of yuletide classics like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Oh Holy Night,” and “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).” Aguilera also recorded original songs, such as “Christmas Time” and “This Year.” In honor of the album’s anniversary, she flew to Paris, France, last week to film a special.
Now, Aguilera has partnered with Roc Nation, Vertigo Live, and Fathom Entertainment to prepare a holiday concert for the big screen. On the special, she sang Christmas classics in a winter garden terrace above the Musée du Quai Branly. The backdrop during the intimate show was the Eiffel Tower. After Karol G’s recent residency at the Crazy Horse, Aguilera also performed a few of her biggest hits at the cabaret nightclub. Expect the show to include a bit of burlesque mixed into the Christmas theme.
Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris will open in theaters in the U.S. on Dec. 14. The special will be available to watch for two days only, including Dec. 21. Tickets will go on sale on Nov. 7. Xtina fans can purchase their tickets from the Fathom Entertainment website and from participating theater box offices.

Last month, Aguilera also celebrated the 25th anniversary of her Latine album Mi Reflejo. She paid homage to her Ecuadorian roots by re-recording her hits like “Genie in a Bottle” and “What a Girl Wants” in Spanish for that LP. Here’s to hoping she also incorporates a bit of that era into the concert film.
