Drake and Partynextdoor are embracing a bit of música mexicana on their new album. This morning (Feb. 14), the duo released their LP $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which features Chino Pacas. The Mexican star joins Drake and Partynextdoor on the song “Meet Your Padre.”

This isn’t Drake’s first collaboration with Chino Pacas. Last October, the Canadian superstar featured on Chino’s Que Sigan Llegando Las Pacas. They teamed up with Fuerza Regida for the song “Modo Capone.” Chino Pacas is signed to Drake’s PFL records and Street Mob, which is run by Fuerza Regida’s Jesús Ortiz Paz (JOP).

“In a way, you can say [Drake] trusted me to make his first corrido, and here we are now,”  Chino Pacas told Remezcla in October. “We all know how much of a legend he is, how many years he’s been in this industry, and all the experience he has, so it was an honor for me.”

Not only did Chino Pacas reunite with Drake, but he also worked with Partynextdoor for the first time. Their unique collaboration “Meet Your Padre” blends elements of R&B, flamenco, and corridos. Once again, Drake sings in Spanglish alongside Chino Pacas. “My young carnal, his name is Chino Pacas / These mexicano girls are too attractive,” he sings. JOP also helped write the song. “Meet Your Padre” joins “Modo Capone” as another one of Drake’s goofy attempts at música mexicana.

“Meet Your Padre” received mixed reviews from their fans online. One person on X wrote, “DIABLOOOO DRAKE, CHINO PACAS & PARTY TRACK IS F**KKINGG CHEF’S KISS. ARRIBA MEXICO Y CANADA.” Another person added, “Chino Pacas don’t sound bad, it’s really Drake. His Spanish sucks and it’s cringe.”

“Meet Your Padre” isn’t the only new Chino Pacas song today. He also appears on Netón Vega’s debut album, Mi Vida Mi Muerte. Chino Pacas features on Vega’s song “Gula.”
