Electric Zoo, one of the U.S.’s largest electronic dance music festivals, just canceled its first day of the 3-day event. The announcement was made via Twitter mere hours before the event was set to begin.

“It is with a broken heart that we deeply regret to inform you that, despite our tireless efforts and round-the-clock commitment, we have made the painful decision to cancel the first day of Electric Zoo,” read the statement.

The statement went on to explain the global impact of supply chain issues, lamenting that EZoo was not immune to their far-reaching consequences, which resulted in an unfortunate delay in completing the main stage setup for Day 1. “The global supply chain disruptions have impacted industries worldwide, and, sadly, our beloved festival has not been immune. These unexpected delays have prevented us from completing the construction of the main stage in time for Day 1.”

Following the announcement, fans swiftly took to social media to share their outrage over the cancellation, with some individuals sharing their dismay at having already prepared and dressed for the event.

Notable artists originally slated to perform on Friday’s lineup included The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake x Fisher, and Kaskade, along with Latin talent such as Coco & Breezy, Eli Escobar, and Carola.
