The first headliner for Sueños Music Festival 2026 is finally out. This afternoon (Nov. 18), Mexican-American group Fuerza Regida was announced as the headliner for the popular música mexicana and reggaeton festival in Chicago, IL.

Sueños Music Festival typically brings the biggest talent in Latine music to the windy city. The headliners for the 2025 edition were reggaeton pioneer Don Omar and Colombian pop icon Shakira. After having to cancel his set the year prior due to weather hazards, Peso Pluma returned to the festival as a special guest with Grupo Frontera. Next year’s festival is already looking bright with one of this year’s biggest música mexicana leading the bill: Fuerza Regida.

After years of cultivating the corridos tumbados scene, Fuerza Regida has had its biggest year yet. Jesús Ortíz Paz (aka JOP) and his bandmates made history on the Billboard 200 chart in 2025 with their latest LP, 111xpantia. When it debuted at No. 2, 111xpantia became the highest-charting música mexicana album on Billboard. Fuerza Regida broke the record previously held by Peso Pluma when Génesis peaked at No. 3 in 2023. Adding to their winning streak, Fuerza Regida will headline Sueños Music Festival 2026 on May 24.

Next year’s Sueños Music Festival will take place on May 23 and 24 in Grant Park. The first round of pre-sale tickets will be available starting on Nov. 20 at 12 p.m. CT. For more information on how to sign up for pre-sale passes, you can check out the festival’s official website

Next up, Fuerza Regida is getting ready to perform at their annual Don’t Fall in Love Fest in their hometown of San Bernardino, CA. They’re headlining the event alongside acts like Future, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, and Banda MS. Other acts slated to perform include Snow Tha Product, Clave Especial, Saweetie, Netón Vega, and Óscar Maydon.
