Fuerza Regida’s JOP & More Join As Mentors on This Upcoming Reality Competition TV Show

Fuerza Regida’s Jesús Ortiz Paz, better known as JOP, and Gabito Ballesteros are joining the search for the next big música mexicana band. Today (June 4), JOP, Ballesteros, and Lupillo Rivera were announced as mentors on the upcoming reality competition TV show Pase a la Fama.
Back in April, Telemundo announced the cast of judges for Pase a la Fama. Ana Bárbara, corridos tumbados pioneer Adriel Favela, and hit singer-songwriter Horacio Palencia will help put together the dream música mexicana band. The competition will boil down to 55 contestants performing in concerts to avoid elimination for a spot in the group. The winning members in the band will earn a $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract with HYBE Latin America. Previously, HYBE has helped launch several successful K-pop acts.

The competition will heat up with the addition of the mentors. The contestants will get even more support from today’s top música mexicana acts like JOP from Fuerza Regida, Ballesteros, and Lupillo. They will be mentored by these superstars at a training camp, which will include rehearsals, performances, and challenges. The mentors will help the contestants perfect their performances before they face the judges.
Pase a la Fama will premiere on Telemundo on Sunday, June 8 at 9 p.m. PT. Two hours prior, Telemundo will also air the first Sunday edition of Miss Universe Latina, The Reality Show. Last month, Fuerza Regida made history with Bad Bunny on the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S.
