Is Bad Bunny releasing music on Christmas Eve? Die-hard fans know that the Puerto Rican icon likes to surprise his fans with releases during holidays. With Christmas around the corner, can Benito be up to something?
Bad Bunny is usually quiet on social media unless he has something to promote, stand by, or clarify. After responding to the Puerto Rico election results in early November, Benito returned to socials to express his gratitude on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28). “Thank you for loving me so much and following me even though I never write here,” he wrote in Spanish on his WhatsApp channel. “Those who love me and continue to be me as I am are the ones who matter to me, to you I give thanks today ❤️ THANKS.”
Yesterday (Dec. 1), he also posted an Instagram photo carousel showing his fans what he’s been up to. He posted a selfie, a screenshot listening to Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound’s “Que Me Castigue Dios,” a photo promoting his footwear collaboration with Messi, a selfie featuring his ginger look for a movie role, and a selfie with Adam Sandler.
However, what caught many social media users’ attention was the last photo, which shows a Christmas tree decorated with dominoes and a güiro with a sound clip attached. The audio features Benito singing “2 de la mañana en el club / Todo el mundo pasándola cabrón.” Could he be teasing a new single to drop on Noche Buena?

Moreover, on Fri. (Nov. 29), Benito joined Rauw Alejandro on stage in Puerto Rico. He joined Rauw to perform “Qué Pasaría…” and “Party” during Rauw’s Cosa Nuestra album release celebration. By these moves alone, it’s clear Benito is not actively hiding this holiday season.
Over the past years, Benito has dropped music during holidays. In 2023, he released the spooky-themed video for “BATICANO” on Halloween and the video for “Ojos Lindos” on Valentine’s Day. In 2020, he released El Último Tour Del Mundo on Thanksgiving at midnight (Nov 27). On Christmas Eve of 2018, he released his long-awaited first album X100pre. So, we’ll keep an eye out for any new music this month.
