Update 6/18: It’s finally official! Today (June 18), Copa América revealed that the Colombian superstar will be performing during the tournament’s inauguration ceremony before the first match.
“@feid will bring the Ferxxocalypsis to the opening ceremony of the CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024™️ 😎,” the organization revealed online.
On an Instagram story, they also shared the news via a public direct message.
The opening soccer match starts on June 20 at 8 p.m. ET at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. Argentina (the defending Copa América and World Cup champions) will face Canada. Feid is also scheduled to perform at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, that same night.
Is Feid going to open the Copa América 2024? On June 17, the biggest intercontinental fútbol tournament in Latin America’s official social media channels uploaded a teaser revealing the Colombian superstar’s iconic white-rimmed sunglasses. Fans are now speculating that he’s part of the upcoming soccer festivities.
Based on this teaser, it looks like Feid will be a part of Copa América 2024 – however, it’s unclear how. The tournament officially starts on June 20, when Argentina (the defending Copa América and World Cup champions) goes against Canada. The inaugural game will be played at 8 p.m. ET at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. On that same day, the “LUNA” singer is scheduled to perform at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. Could it be that he will open the soccer match and then hop on an almost two-hour flight to continue his Ferxxocalipsis Tour 2024 show?
Regardless of what Feid has in store for his fans, social media users are already thrilled about the thought of him opening the oldest continental fútbol championship in the world. An X user commented: “feid opening for copa America is top tier and I just wanna go see him live so bad.”

The Copa América 2024 will be played from June 20 to July 14. Ten CONMEBOL teams will go against 6 CONCACAF teams. Group A includes Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Canada. Group B includes Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Jamaica. Group C includes the United States, Uruguay, Panama, and Bolivia. Group D includes Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, and Costa Rica.
