La Reina del reggaeton, Ivy Queen, is back. Well, she never really left, but now she’s delivering new music, making podcasts and going on a 19-city tour across the United States. She is busy.
On Friday, she released the single “Un Baile Mas,” her voice cascading over an incredibly smooth beat. The video shows her adorned with butterflies in her hair, radiating reggaetonera glamour as only she can, while delivering a sweet message about who you’d share your last dance with.
“The underlying question in this song was, ‘If you were dancing your last dance, who would you dance it with?” Ivy Queen told Billboard.
Ivy Queen’s tour comes months after she revealed that some of the biggest names in reggaeton have ignored her messages about collaborating. “My energy is there, but I can’t fight a system that’s… kind of strange,” she told Telemundo.
Her tour begins on Thursday, February 13 in New Jersey, and will include stops at theaters and clubs across the country, including stops in Florida, Georgia, Texas and California. According to Billboard, this is Ivy Queen’s first bus tour. To document the experience, Ivy Queen will record her own podcast on the road.
