Karol G is getting ready to fully live her vedette fantasy in France. This morning (Aug. 25), the Colombian superstar revealed that she will perform a few cabaret shows at the famous cabaret club Crazy Horse Paris.

Karol G is currently in her showgirl era with her latest album Tropicoqueta, which came out in June. For the cover art and many of the photos associated with the LP, she pulled inspiration from iconic Latina vedettes. For her first official shows for Tropicoqueta, Karol G is doubling down on the showgirl angle.

“When I first saw the Crazy Horse Paris show, I was completely in awe and fell in love with what I saw on that stage,” Karol G shared in a statement. “I’m beyond excited to step into this one-of-a-kind world myself. I want to bring that same fearless, body-positive, and confident energy to my performance—the same way I approach my music, especially on my latest album, Tropicoqueta. This show is a tribute to all women, and especially to my Latinas, celebrating that we are beautiful exactly as we are, inside and out.”

Karol G will make history as the first Latina artist to perform a stint of cabaret shows at the Crazy Horse Paris. She will put on eight exclusive shows at the club from Sept. 25 to 28. Crazy Horse Paris has previously hosted celebrity cabaret and burlesque performances by Dita Von Teese, Viktoria Modesta, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Violet Chachki, and BLACKPINK member Lisa.

“Latin beats at Crazy Horse Paris are unprecedented in more than 70 years of history — but I didn’t hesitate for a second,” added Andrée Deissenberg, chief creative and brand officer at Crazy Horse Paris Group. “Karol’s unique personality made it obvious: she was already crazy at heart.”
