Kenia Os is keeping Latine pop alive. The rising Mexican star released the colorful music video for her new single “LoveLove U” today (Aug. 24).
Since her breakthrough album K23 last year, Kenia Os has become one of Mexico’s biggest pop stars. The LP included her recent hits like “La Invitación” and “Malas Decisiones,” which went viral on TikTok this past year. And it seems she’s just getting started making her mark in the Latine pop scene with her new song.
“Malas Decisions” was helmed by hit-maker JonTheProducer. She reunited with him for “LoveLove U.” Kenia Os worked on the song with JonTheProducer in her native city of Mazatlán in Mexico. He supplies her with disco-inspired beats as she sings about a hot and cold romance. She comes through with another addictive Latine pop banger.
“This new single is very important to me because it’s the introduction of the new stage of my career that I have been working on alongside my team,” she said in a statement. “For the first time in my career, I feel 100 percent confident with the sound that I am going to be launching in my next songs.”
The music video for “LoveLove U” was produced by Daniel Eguren, who has also worked with artists like Feid and Nicki Nicole. At first, Kenia Os sings the song in a bedroom while under surveillance. She is later seen in more dreamy situations, like riding a white horse while playing with the cameras. Kenia Os captivates everyone who is watching the surveillance video footage.
Earlier this year, Kenia Os wrapped up her first tour of the U.S. The short film she did for the K23 album was awarded at the Cannes World Film Festival and the Berlin Indie Film Festival. Her visual project was also a finalist at the International Sound Video Awards.
