Sofía Reyes is upping the girl power of her collaboration with Danna Paola. German pop star Kim Petras joins them on the new remix of “TQUM,” released today (July 27).

Back in May, Reyes teamed up with Danna Paola for her latest single, “TQUM (Te Quiero Un Montón).” This marked the first time that the two Mexican pop stars worked together. At Premios Juventud last week, they both performed the song together live. Now they are expanding the global reach of “TQUM” with the remix featuring Petras.

“I’m still in shock that this remix happened, and to think it took place in the space of a week or two is amazing,” Reyes said in a statement. “Everything happened so fast! There’s so much love between the three of us that I think people will feel the love for this song as much as we do.”

“TQUM” is inspired by the hyperpop music scene that has blown up thanks to artists like Charli XCX and Petras. The “Unholy” singer is the perfect fit to join Reyes and Danna on this frenetic love song. She drops in with her signature phrase, “Woo-Ah!” before translating Reyes and Paola’s heartbreak into English. “I’m scared that when I land you’ll have a new girl in your lap / I want it back,” she sings. Petras also harmonizes a bit with Reyes and Danna in Spanish. “TQUM” is now a global girl power anthem with Petras in the mix.

Back in February, Petras became the first trans woman to win the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. She emerged victorious in the category thanks to her collaboration “Unholy” with openly non-binary singer Sam Smith. “TQUM” is a preview of Reyes’ upcoming third album, which is set to be released later this year. The LP will also include her song “Luna.”
