Marco Antonio Solís is not ready to leave the stage just yet. On Jan. 30, the emblematic Mexican singer-songwriter announced his solo El Buki World Tour 2023, stopping in 40 cities in North America and Spain this year.

“An unprecedented year is coming!” El Buki wrote on his Instagram. “With extreme joy I share with you ‘El Buki World Tour 2023’ 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽.” He continued: “With more than 40 dates and 40 cities I will be going around the world to meet with all of you and bring you the music that you receive with so much love.”

The tour includes 22 U.S. stops, starting in San Jose, CA, at the SAP Center on Mar. 3 and wrapping up in Chicago, IL, at the Allstate Arena on Oct. 15. Other major cities that will be stunned by the artist’s repertoire include: Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and Washington, DC. The tour will also reach a global audience. Besides Mexico, it will also stop in regions like Spain and Canada.

With this new world tour, El Buki will focus on his solo romantic songs. “I’m so happy because there’s so much buzz about us meeting again with my fans,” he told Rolling Stone via Zoom. “With the Bukis tour, I didn’t sing any of my solo songs out of respect for my bandmates. This is something new and different: it’s with my group and serenading with my music as a soloist.”

It’s clear that El Buki is in high demand for live performances. Last year, he and his band Los Bukis wrapped up a successful reunion tour. Together, Los Bukis’ tour made history in 2022 as the most attended Latine stadium tour in the U.S. at the time of its conclusion. As a soloist, Solís was recognized as the Latin GRAMMYs’ Person of the Year 2022 by the Latin Recording Academy for “break[ing] down generational barriers through his poignant lyrics, which move millions of people and inspire greater acceptance and understanding.”

Tickets for this new world tour will be available starting on Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
